As part of its move to digitise the judiciary, the government is providing 200 Tablets computers for the lower court judges. Judges of the district and session’s courts across the country will receive the digital gadgets, reports UNB.
State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak handed over the Tabs to Law Minister Anisul Huq at the latter’s office yesterday. While receiving the Tabs, the law minister said the judges are getting the tabs as part of the digitalisation of the judiciary. Proper use of the device would help accelerate judicial activities and ultimately reduce the backlog of cases, he added. The Law Ministry collected the Tabs within two days after Chief Justice SK Sinha on Saturday observed that the judiciary lags behind the other departments of the state in terms of digitalisation.
