Bangladeshi cattle trader gunned down by BSF

A Bangladeshi cattle trader was shot dead by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on the Rokanpur frontier under Gomostapur upazila in Chapainawabganj at early yesterday. The deceased was identified as Sahalal, 25, son of Sirajul Islam of Rokanpur village. Officer-in-Charge of Gomostapur Police Station Shahin Kamal said a group of cattle traders was going to India by crossing Rokanpur border at around 2:30am. Sahalal was killed on the spot when BSF men opened fire on them. Being informed, police recovered the dead body around 8am and sent it to Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. No BGB official in the area could be contacted as none received telephone calls.
