Chittagong Abahani Limited issued a show-cause letter to their captain Mumunul Islam for his explanation for staying outside the camp till midnight before the final match of the Walton Federation Cup Football.
Mamunul will have to reply within 72 hours after receiving the letter with the letter was issued on Thursday night.Tarafdar Ruhul Amin confirmed that they issued the show-cause letter when the chairman of the Chittagong Abahani football team talking to this correspondent yesterday said, “Being a senior player of the team he should strict to follow the discipline.”“You see, he is captain of the team but he violated the discipline and was absent from the camp till mid night just before the final match of the Federation Cup Football, we are very much disappointed with his irresponsible behavior.”“If he will fail to make any suitable response, then we will go to take further step, he has time 72 hours,” said Tarafder, chairman of the Saif Powertec, sponsor of the Bangladesh Champions League and the Bangladesh Premier League Football.Meanwhile, Chittagong Abahani Limited went down to their Dhaka counter part Abahani Limited by 1-3 in the final when their performance was not up to the mark, as in the whole 90 minutes game they looked an under strength team.
