Celebrated Bangladeshi director Amitabh Reza Choudhury’s debut big screen venture ‘Aynabaji’, which went on to become the biggest hit film in the recent years, won the Best Film award at the 16th Tele-Cine Award in Kolkata.
Director Amitabh Reza Choudhury and story writer of the film Gousul Azam Shaon received the award on behalf of the Aynabaji team at Nazrul Mancha of South Kolkata on Sunday. Besides, Aynabaji film producer and CEO of Top of Mind Ziauddin Adil and Tom Creations CEO Salma Adil were also present at the award ceremony.
Director Amitabh Reza said, “After winning the hearts of the local audience and achieving huge success in the country ‘Aynabaji’ have crossed the border and astonish the entire world. After fulfilling the expectations of everyone, ‘Aynabaji’ now has become a piece of hope and dream of a country.”
Tele-Cine Society of Kolkata, a non-profitable organisation registered under the Society Act Government of West Bengal, arranged the award ceremony every year to give recognition to Bengali films and TV serials.
The film ‘Aynabaji’ stars Chanchal Chowdhury, Masuma Rahman Nabila, Partha Barua and Gusum Alam in lead roles. l
