About BNP's criticism of the recent raid on its chairperson's Gulshan office, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader yesterday said the party should talk less as various plots, including one to kill AL President Sheikh Hasina, had been hatched at the office, reports UNB.
"It'll be better for BNP not to dig out again various conspiracies hatched at that office during the BNP regime," he said while talking to reporters after visiting the Dhaka-Aricha highway at Hemyatpur in Savar to see for himself the condition of the road ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr. Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said now there is no 'Hawa Bhaban' in the country like that of BNP, and the country is being run by a strong elected government, led by Sheikh Hasina.
Hailing the High Court verdict rejecting a petition filed by Khaleda Zia for quashing the proceedings of Barapukuria coalmine corruption case, he said the BNP chief is now trying to skip the trial proceedings on various grounds.
