As directed by the government high-ups, the law enforcement agencies will remain alert across the country during the holy month of Ramadan to avert any sort of untoward incident, reports BSS. “The government has undertaken all-out measures to ensure security of the common people and free Bangladesh from crimes,” Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan told the news agency yesterday. He said the government, with its sincere efforts, is crushing terrorism and militancy alongside preventing other crimes and the law enforcement agencies have already brought many terrorists and criminals under control.
Meanwhile, the home minister said he visited Karwan Bazar kitchen market yesterday and the traders there assured him that they would not hike prices of essentials during the Ramadan.
He urged all consumers not to buy additional goods as the supply chain of all kitchen commodities would remain normal during the fasting month of Ramadan. Talking about militancy and terrorism, the minister said the law enforcement agencies are working closely to crush militants and terrorists and their networks in the country.
As part of the anti-militancy campaign, members of law enforcement agencies are collecting information of tenants to avoid any sort of untoward incident, while people have stood and raised voice against militants and extremists in the country, he said.
