A suspected thief was killed in a lynch-mob attack at Charhosenpur village in Charbhadrasan upazila early yesterday, reports UNB.The deceased was identified as Helal Khan, 30, son of Moslem Khan of Dangi area in Sadar upazila.Quoting the locals, sub-inspector of Charbhadrasan police station Abdur Rab said Helal and Khokon Mia, 48, a resident of Khilgaon in the capital, were caught red-handed by local people while they were fleeting with a stolen auto-rickshaw around 3:00am.They gave the duo a good thrashing, leaving Helal dead on he spot and Khokon injured, he said. However, their associate Rahman managed to flee. Police recovered the body and admitted injured Khokon to Charbhadrasan Health Complex. Two cases were filed.
