A solo art exhibition titled ‘Patakabyo Parampora’ by Shambhu Acharya is underway at Gallery Chitrak in the capital’s Dhanmondi area. As a part of silver jubilee celebrations of Expressions Ltd, the exhibition was inaugurated on May 12 and will continue till May 19.
Ninth generation of his predecessors, pat painter Shambhu has painted 41 pieces on Gazir Pat, Radha-Krishna, Baul, Baishnab, village women, nature of Bangla and others. Creating both canvas and colours from local and traditional ingredients by the artist makes his artworks very special.
The exhibition was inaugurated by iconic entrepreneur and former adviser to the Caretaker Government Syed Manzur Elahi, while eminent painter Rafiqun Nabi and art connoisseur Matiur Rahman, the Editor of Daily Prothom Alo were present as the special guests. Ramendu Majumdar, Managing Director of Expressions Ltd delivered welcome speech and Tropa Majumdar conducted the inaugural programme.
Gazir Gaan will be presented for the art lovers at the closing event on May 19
