Popular singer Mila has tied the knot with pilot Parvez Sanjari who is working for US-Bangla Airlines. The marriage ceremony took place at Nila’s Home in Baridhara DOHS on Friday night in attendance of members of both families. Mila said that, “I have a relationship with Sanjari. Our relationship is more than 10 years old. On Friday night we got married. Please pray for our happy married life.” “Though for now a programme held in a homely manner, but there will be a grand post-marriage ceremony soon”, she added.
Mila Islam was born on March 26, 1978, in the port city, Chittagong, Bangladesh to the father, Shahed Islam, and mother, Shopna Islam. Her father was an army officer while her mother was a Nazrul Sangeet singer. Mila was largely impressed by her mother’s musical career and dreamed of in early life to become a singer. She came to the attraction of people around the country with the song ‘Rupbane Nachey Kamor Dolaiya’.
Mila’s first album, ‘Fele Asha’ featured by famous singer Balam, created a fierce stir in the music industry of Bangladesh and conveyed huge popularity.
Mila’s second album ‘Chapter 2’ has got huge popularity, including the songs like ‘Rupbane Nachey Kamor Dolaiya’ and ‘Baburam Shapura’ featured by Fuad Al Muqtadir. Her third album ‘Re-defined’ was released in 2009. Mila also acted in a few dramas and short films. She acted in a short film ‘Proposal One’ directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki with singer Hridoy Khan. Making her debut with the television commercial (TVC) of Brittle Biscuit, Mila modeled in a few TVCs. l
