The BNP standing committee chaired by party chief Khaleda Zia approved the ‘Vision 2030’ in its meeting yesterday, according to a member of the body who was present at the meet. Khaleda Zia is set to announce the ‘Vision 2030’ at a press conference tomorrow.
BNP senior leaders went through all the promises included in their ‘vision’ plan at the highest policy making body but opposed the proposal to introduce the bicameral parliament. Other than this, other issues including reducing the prime ministerial power and turning the country into a upper-middle income country by 2030 will be included in the ‘Vision 2030’ to be announced at a media briefing tomorrow. The briefing will be held at Hotel Westine at 4:30pm.
