Police in a drive arrested eleven leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami from a mosque in Narendrapur post office area in sadar upazila on Monday night on charges of plotting sabotage.
The arrestees were Abdul Malek, Jamaat Amir of Kochua union unit, and its secretary Tariqul Islam and nine other activists. Acting on a tip-off,  police raided the mosque at around 10:15 pm and arrested them along with Jihadi books, said Nazmul Hossain, assistant sub-inspector of Narendrapur police outpost. A case was lodged in this connection.
