The 57th patrol along the Mekong River, jointly carried out by China, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand, was completed on April 25.

Patrols by law enforcement have employed new and diverse ways of securing international waters between China’s Guanlei Port and the Golden Triangle area. During the operation, the joint law enforcement fleet visited with the public in Laos for one day, inviting local law enforcement personnel, police, and employees from several Chinese institutions for exchanges, which showcased the results of the joint operation.

Seven vessels and 160 law enforcement officers from the four countries took part in the four-day three-night joint patrols, covering a total distance of 512 kilometers.
