Worker’s body recovered
 BARISAL: Police recovered a body from an electrical equipment repairing shop in the city on Saturday.  The victim was identified as Rezaul Karim, 20, a staff of Seven-Star AC and Electronics Service Centre in C & B Road area of the city. Shakhawat Hossain, officer in charge of Kotwali police station, said Md Russell, owner of the shop, claimed that he found the shop locked from inside on Saturday noon. Later, he entered the shop by breaking its door and found Rezaul lying on the floor unconscious. Police recovered the body and sent it to Barisal Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy and detained the shop-owner Russell for interrogation as he broke the door and entered the shop without informing police, OC Kotwali PS.

Man held with gold
 Customs intelligence officials seized 750 grams gold and arrested a person from Shahjalal International Airport in the capital on Sunday morning, reports UNB.

The arrestee was identified as Harunur Rashid.
Assistant Commissioner (Customs) Riyadul Islam said Harunur Rashid landed at the airport by a flight of Bangladesh Biman Airlines from Malaysia at about 5:45 am. Customs officials challenged Rashid for his suspicious movement when he was crossing the green channel at about 8:00 am.  After searching his luggage, the officials recovered the gold from inside a charger light and arrested him.
