Satkhira: A honey collector was killed and his brother injured in an attack by a tiger in Dingamari cannel under Satkhira range of the Sundarbans early yesterday, reports UNB.
Masudul Alam, former chairman of Gabura union in Shyamnagar upazila, said Ruhul Amin Sheikh, 35 and his brother Hossain Sheikh-two sons of Malek Sheikh of Chandnimukha village in Shyamngar upazila went to the deep forest for collecting honey after taking pass from Burigoalini Forest office early in the morning.At one stage, a tiger swooped on Ruhul Amin and dragged him into the deep forest, he said.Hossain Sheikh sustained injuries while trying to save his brother. Later the forest officials recovered the body of Ruhul and rescued Hossain from the forest.
