A child died and two others were injured when a gas cylinder exploded at a house in Dhanbari municipality of Tangail district on Sunday afternoon.The blast occurred in the house of one Rashed of Kismat Dhanbari at about 4.30pm. Fire fighters recovered the scattered limbs of a child from the spot and rescued two others who were admitted to the hospital. The deceased was not identified yet, officer-in-charge of Dhanbari police station Mujibur Rahman told The Independent.SK Tuhin, station commander of Madhupur Fire Service and Civil Defence said some vendors who sell balloons with gas rented the house. Buyers came to the house to purchase balloons at that time, he added.
