Shuvro Dev gets ‘Mother Teresa Int’l Award’

Popular Bangladeshi singer Shuvro Dev has been awarded with the prestigious ‘Mother Teresa International Award’ in Kolkata. Shuvro Dev received the award from former chief justice and former governor of West Bengal Shyamal Sen at a programme in Kolkata, India on Sunday.
Shuvro Dev expressed his feeling about receiving the award over the telephone, “I may have worked a lot, and I got this international award in recognition of my works. Undoubtedly, I am feeling amazing to receive the award,”
“I think receiving an award from Shyamal Sen is also a matter of good fortune, I am feeling honoured. I am thankful to my fans. For their unconditional love and support, I have reached to today’s position”, he added.
However, participating in the BTV’s signature programme ‘Natun Kuri’in 1978, Suvro Dev received the President Award. He released his first music album ‘Hamilioner Banshiwala’ in 1984. Till now, Shuvro Dev released a total of 26 albums. His notable albums include ‘Hamiloner Banshiwala’, ‘Jewel Shmoroney’, ‘Jey Banshi Bhengey Gechhey’, ‘Kono Ek Shondhaye’, ‘Chhowa’, ‘Shesh Chithi’, ‘Shada Kagoj’, ‘Amar Bhalobasha’, ‘Buk-er Jomin’, ‘Priyojon’, ‘Bondhon’, ‘Bhabtey Parina’, ‘Mon-e Porey’, ‘Chompaboti’, ‘Mon-er Thikana’, ‘Lolita’, ‘Swapnolokey Tumi’, ‘Sharthopor’, and ‘Tumi Aar Ami’. l
