Thakurgaon: A man was killed and several others were injured as a nor’wester lashed several upazilas of the district on Saturday, reports UNB. The deceased is Manik, 25, son of late Asir Uddin, of Kandail village under Haripur upazila. Quoting witnesses, Ruhul Kuddus, officer-in-charge of Haripur Police Station, said: “A plate of solar panel fell on Manik around 2:30 pm while a storm was sweeping through the village, leaving him dead on the spot.” Several other people were reported to be injured in different areas of the district as well. Besides, the storm damaged a large number of houses, paddy fields and uprooted trees in different upazilas.
