Dolly Zohur, Deepa Khandakar as mother-daughter once again

Veteran actress Dolly Zohur and audience-admired actress Deepa Khandakar, who played as the mother and daughter together in numerous TV plays, have recently acted the roles of mother and daughter in a telefilm once again. After appearing together in the same roles for the last time in a tele-drama on Bangladesh Television last year, the duo has now acted again as mother and daughter in a new telefilm titled ‘Tumi Ele Tai’. The telefilm is directed by Monir Hossain Jibon, and it will be aired today at 3pm on Channel i.
Dolly Zohur said about acting in the telefilm, “I liked the story of the telefilm very much. Besides, it was fascinating to me getting Deepa as my co-artiste. Deepa is considered to be my own daughter, and we have acted as mother and daughter in numerous dramas. I hope the telefilm will be admired by the audience.”
Deepa said, “Dolly Zohur is like my mother. I cannot recall the exact date that when we worked together for the first time. But we acted together in many dramas. Truly speaking, it is always amazing to work alongside any old face. I felt wonderful to act with her in ‘Tumi Ele Tai’.”
Dolly Zohur informed DhakaLive that she is not working in the film any more after 2012. Considering the overall situation of the country’s film industry, she took the decision.
On the other hand, Deepa is working regularly in a few drama serials right this moment; these are ‘Housewives’, ‘Neel Jyotsna’ and ‘Gulbahar’.
