A boy was electrocuted near a poultry farm in Taluch Bazaar in Dupchanchia upazila yesterday. The deceased has been identified as Anwar Hossain alias Rana, 12, son of Mofser Ali of Pachosha village in the upazila.  
OC of Dupchanchia police station Gopal Chandra Chakrabarty said Anwar got entangled in a live electric wire near the poultry farm when he was passing through the area and died on the spot.
 Police recovered the body and handed over it to the family members.
A case was filed in this connection.
