Tough competition likely for treasurer post

The election of the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) will take place today with some excitement when the competition will take place for the post of three vice-president, two posts for deputy secretary general, a treasurer and 17 executive members’ post.    
Meanwhile, the president and the secretary general have already been elected unopposed along with the candidates of 11 categories posts and now the election will take place for 23 posts out of 34.  
The Chief of Army Staff  BOA president General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Haque and Shahed Reza Chowdhury, the incumbent secretary general, regained their respective post l unopposed and rest of the nine executives came from different quotas. BFF vice-president Badal Roy, the deputy secretary general of the previous committee, former vice-president of the BOA Mizanur Rahman Manu, president of the Bangladesh gymnastics Federation Bashir Al Mamun, president of the Bangladesh Shooting Sports Federation Nazimuddin Chowdhury are the candidates for rest of the three vice-president posts.
For the post of two deputy secretary general post, general secretary of the Bangladesh Handball Federation Asaduzzaman Kohinoor, general secretary of the Bangladesh Volleyball Federation Ashiqur Rahman Miku and general secretary of the Bangladesh Shooting Federation Intekhabul Hamid Apu are the candidates for the post. But sports observers think that there might be a tough competition for the post of treasurer with Imtiaz Khan Babul, deputy secretary general of the previous committee will compete against Rajib Uddin Ahmed Chapal, who hold the same post in the previous committee.
