Coach Maruf to start with a fresh Arambagh team

Maruful Haque the only UEFA license holder coach in Bangladesh and third in Asia signed on a one year deal with Arambagh Krira Sangha for the upcoming season, early  this week.
Maruful Haque, who began his coaching career with Mohammedan Sporting Club in 2008 and made a sensation his first assignment guiding the club to win the runners-up trophy of the league for successive two seasons, also the Federation Cup title in 2008 and 2009 and the maiden trophy of the crore taka Super Cup.
Maruf, has also great success to win treble for Sheikh Russell Krira Chakra in 2011 with winning the league trophy, Federation and the Independence Cup following making Mutijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra runners-up in the league in 2010. But the highest certificate holder in football coaching, Maruf saw some ups and downs in his short period career while he was also head of Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club and also had the charge of the national football team for SAFF Championship and Bangabandhu Gold Cup.
However, this time Maruf joined in the Arambagh Club and will begin the duty from April 15, while Maruf talked to this correspondent informed that he will have to form fully a fresh team, as almost all the players have already left.
“The club tent is almost empty, now first of all I will have collect players to form the team, in a sense I will have to form a fresh team.”
Yes, it is not easy right now to form a formidable side, it is a late attempt to collect players as per your choice but I will give priority to youngsters, who are experienced playing the premier level.”
Arambagh clinched the sixth position leaving behind teams like Sheikh Russell, BJMC and Mohammedan Sporting Club also the target of this season to maintain the same position.
Maruf, the high profile coach said that though the club gave him target just to retain the position, they finished last season is not any pressure for him but now the important job is to collect skilled players who are capable to learn.
Do you think it’s a pressure for you, as there are no players in the camp and you have to start afresh, “Actually, club did not assign me to make the team champions, so it is not an  pressure for me, if we can collect players who have potential and also have the talent to learn the technique, tactics and the ideas to play good football, said Maruf.
Maruf also informed that they are searching to collect quality foreign players specially he is giving importance to African booters and by this time also trying to contact with Cameroon, Ghana and Nigerians.
