Samiul Islam Poluck’s recitation collection ‘Iti Rabindranath’ will be released today at the Poet Sufia Kamal Auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum (BNM), Shahbag in the capital. Presided over by eminent poet Asad Chowdhury, BNM Director General Faizul Latif Chowdhury will attend the publication ceremony as chief guest, while Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre Director Jayashree Kundu will be present as special guest.
‘Iti Rabindranath’ is a celebration of Sri Shakti. Rabindranath Tagore’s journey of womanhood depicts woman not just a thing of beauty and joy forever, but has gone beyond the outer beauty and portrayed women in various complexities. Poluck’s recitation collection is releasing in the CD format under the banner of Indian company Hindustan Records. Elocutionist Samiul Islam Poluck is a gold medalist and a regular artiste of Bangladesh Television (BTV). The journey that started in the small town of Faridpur under the tutelage of his mother Bilkis Islam lead to him prestigious stages like Bangladesh National Theater auditorium, Bangla Academy, Bangladesh National Museum, Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre Dhaka EMK Centre, Auditorium, Alliance Française the Dhaka and others. With recitation art he shared stage with Sabyasachi Kobi Shoiyod Samsul Hok, Pathobhaban Shikkhoyotri Sutopa Shyanal, famous actress Like Shampa Reza, Rosey Shiddiki, Anindita Kazi and with all the pioneer artistes of Bangladesh in a row. His successful productions names are Karuna Dharay Eso, Srabon Kheyale, Praner Khela, Roilo Tahar Bani Roilo Bhora Suure, Tomar Oshime, Remembering Tagore, Mayar Khela. Universal Famous Painters like Kalidas Kormokar and Biraj Kumar Poul painted on his recitation.
