The authorities of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital have imposed a temporary restriction on companions of passengers from entering the airport terminal. The ban has been imposed to beef up security at the airport ahead of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) conference between April 1 and 5. Starting from yesterday, according to the airport police sources, they were not allowing anyone other than the passengers to enter the airport terminal. Earlier, a companion of the passengers was allowed to enter the terminal by purchasing a Tk300 ticket. The sources said that the ban was temporary and it will be relaxed after the IPU conference.
