More than 30,000 youths in six upazilas of the district became self-reliant after receiving training and loan from the Department of Youth Development (DYD) during the last 21 years, reports BSS from Narsingdi. Deputy Director of DYD Narsingdi AKM Kaisar Ali told the news agency that the department provided institutional and non-institutional training to 44,390 youth (both male and female) on different trades in the district during the time. The training course includes dress making, block-batik, printing, dairy and poultry farming, pisciculture, computer course, electronics course, electrical and house wiring, refrigeration and air condition course plumbing, nursery and agricultural training.
