Friday was Shakib Al Hasan’s 30th birthday. He celebrated his birthday with his fellow teammates and team’s officials in Sri Lanka.
World’s best all-rounder thanked his scads of fans and well-wishers across the world through his verified facebook account on the eve of his birth anniversary.
 “Last one year has been amazing for me. Thanks for all the support to my fans and well-wishers who stayed with me through thick and thin,” said Shakib Al Hasan.
“For the next year, please keep me and my family in your prayers,” Al Hasan also said.
Shakib was born in Magura in March 24, 1987. By playing Islampur Para Club, local cricket club of Magura, he admitted to BKSP and shot into limelight through playing a U-19 triangular series (involving of England, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh) in 2005, where he showed his grits and character with bat and ball as he smashed century from 86 balls and claimed three wickets which helped the team win the match.
Before stepping into international stage, Shakib played 19 international matches in between 2005 and 2006 for Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket Team. He made his debut with one day in August 2006 against Zimbabwe at Harare. But his T20 debut was happened at home turf in November at the same year against the same opponent in Khulna.
For the next year, he debuted in Test against India, the current number one Test side, in Chittagong.
Since then, Shakib played so far 49 Tests, 166 ODIs along with 57 T20Is for Bangladesh. The iconic all-rounder scored 3479 runs in Test with the help of five centuries and 21 half-centuries with the best of 217. He piled up 4650 runs in ODIs, where he slammed six tons and 32 fifties with the best of 134*. The 30-year-old mustered 1159 runs in T20Is with the best of 84.
He showed the same grits with the cherry as he scalped 176 wickets in Tests (7-36), 220 in ODIs (5-47), while 67 in T20Is (4-15). He is the only Bangladeshi player who has been playing at different T20 Leagues across the globe, starting from Indian Premier League (IPL) to Big Bash and County Cricket League.     
By showcasing all-round performance in the second and last Test of the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh ace all-rounder yet again retained the top spot of ICC all-rounder in all the three formats last week though he lost his Test spot to Ravichandran Ashwin on March 13.
His team’s fellow Taskin Ahmed gave a status on his verified facebook page thanking him as he said “Happy birthday to our legend Shakib Al Hasan ... I hope you will make more unbreakable world records in future.”
