Police in separate drives arrested 108 people from Dinajpur, Satkhira and Narail districts yesterday, reports BSS.In Dinajpur: Police, in special drives arrested 36 persons, including three alleged drug traders, and recovered illegal drugs- 350 bottles of phensidyl and 600 liters of liquor - from eight upazilas of the district.Sources with the district police said they were picked up from different areas of the district.Police said, during the drives, Dinajpur Sadar police arrested nine persons including three drug traders with 600 liters of liquor, Phulbari police two, Kaharole four, Parbatipur three, Hakimpur police seven, Bochaganj five, Ghoraghat police three and Biral police arrested three accused.Meanwhile, Hakimpur police recovered 350 bottles of contraband phensidyl syrup in an abandoned condition from the upazila during the period. Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with different police stations against the arrested persons, the sources added.

In Narail: Police in several anti-drug drives arrested 32 persons, including four drug traders, and recovered hemp, yaba and liquor from four upazilas.
During the drives, Narail Sadar Thana police arrested nine accused including three drug traders with one bottle of locally made liquor, 20 pieces of Yaba tablets, and 12-gram of ganja, Lohagara Thana police 11 accused including one convicted accused, Kalia police six including one drug trader with two bottles of foreign-made liquor and Noragati Thana police arrested six accused.
