In celebration of its 7th founding anniversary, Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC) is organising a programme of music and dance at main auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum (BNM) in the capital’s Shabagh on March 14. The programme will be presented by Teachers and students of IGCC.
An item titled ‘Swar Shruti’ will be presented by Hindustani Classical Vocal Music teacher Santosh Kumar Mishra and his students.
Dr Yogesh Vashista, Hindi Teacher and his students will present a hindi poem and a chorus song ‘Besabriyan’. This will be followed by a demonstration of Yoga asanas by Yoga Teacher Kushal Roy and his students.
The last item will be two Manipuri dance items titled ‘Balya Krishna Nartan’ and ‘Gop Ras’ choreographed by Dance Teacher Warda Rihab and to be performed by her students.
Environment and Forest Minister Anwar Hossain Manju will attend the occasion as chief guest on March 14, while Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla will be present as guest of honour.
