Japanese iconic film ‘Tora-San’ will be aired once again on a local channel here in Bangladesh. This time, its 38th episode of the series titled ‘Tora-San Goes North’ will be aired on NTV at 8.45am tomorrow. Earlier in last November and February, two episodes of the series titled ‘Tora-San’s Sunrise and Sunset’ and ‘Tora-San’s Many Splendored Love’ were broadcasted respectively on the same channel.
Humanistic yet humorous, this film, which will bring laughter and tears, features an unsuccessful love and family drama of a peddler, Tora-San (starring Kiyoshi Atsumi) who often goes on trips and suddenly pops over to his home in downtown Tokyo. NTV, in collaboration with the Japan Foundation, aired three selected series of ‘Tora-San’ dubbed in Bengali language for the first time in Bangladesh.
