A two-week group exhibition, titled ‘Bangabandhu Bangladesh’ by 40 prominent artists, has begun at the Gallery-6 of National Art Plaza, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) in the capital. BSA, in association with Somotot Sonargaon, has organised the exhibition which includes as many as 100 artworks.
Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor inaugurated the exhibition as chief guest on the National Art Gallery premises yesterday evening. Presided over by BSA Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky, lawmaker Mayeen Uddin Khan Badol, artist Hasem Khan, Professor Muntasir Mamun and country’s anecdote insurance personality Nasir A Chowdhury were present as special guests.
The participating artists in the exhibition are-- Qayyum Chowdhury, Abu Taher, Samarjit Ray Chowdhury, Hasem Khan, Dhiraj Chowdhury, Syed Jahangir, Monirul Islam, Shahabuddin Ahmed, Alkesh Ghosh, Biren Shome, Rezaul Karim, Abdur Shakoor Shah, Abdul Mannan, Jamal Ahmed, Ranjit Das, Muhammad Yunus, Ahmed Shamsuddoha, Sheikh Afzal, Md Moniruzzaman, Nisar Hossain, Mohammad Iqbal, Rabbani Shamim, Rafi Haque, Anisuzzaman, Farida Zaman, Rokeya Sultana, Suvrana Shamim, Bipasha Hayat, Samina Nafis, Sarbari Roy Chowdhury, Alaptagin Tushar, Abdus Sattar Toufiq, Mohammad Kamaluddin, Dulal Chandra Gayen, Shahid Kazi, Sumon Wahid, Pradyut Kumar Das, Abdul Momen Milton and Mahmudul Hasan Sohag.
The exhibition is open to all everyday from 11am to 8pm and Friday from 3pm to 8pm, until March 17. l
