Pocheon Citizen Football Club of Korea, the favourite of today’s final encounter against the Maldives’ TC Sports Club in the Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup football tournament want to carry the trophy home.
Kim Jae Young, Pocheon head coach of the Korean team expressed his optimistic to win the final while he looked confident about their success, as he said, “We are happy to reach the final of the Club Cup tournament. Since we made it to the final we are basically planning to end the game with winning and ready to take the trophy back home.”
Pocheon, who had to struggle in the group phase matches to qualify in the semifinal while they could win only one match and drew with Abahani Limited (Dhaka) and with today’s opponents, replying to a query Kim said, “At first we did take things a little bit lightly, we thought there would be easy opponents but as we play during the good pace we do found that the teams in the tournament should not be taken lightly. So in the final if the players do their best and play according to coach's instruction we are able to win the game.”
Kim again said, “Basically when we came here, we came with mindset to reach the final. We did come here to play in the final.”
But Kim, though praised about the hospitality here said that they were not comfort as he said, “Right now the players are
not having their best time, first of all the foods, the atmosphere. They are not really able to get freedom to go out. So they are not really having good time.”
Mohammed Nizam, head coach of the TC Sports Club of Maldives also sounded loudly to win the trophy as he said that he has confidence over his players.
Nizam said, “Until Bangladesh Football Federation gives us trophy, I can’t say I can take it to home. If you ask about the game, I am very confident but not over confident. I know the opponents are very strong and with due respect, we will try to fight hard in the game.”
Nizam, who was just concentrating on the game said, “Regarding the final game, I want to say it would be very tough, like any other game.  It won’t be easy for us and my only focus is on to win the match and prepared the boys to win the game.”
About the Korean opponents Nizam’s evaluation was, “Definitely, they are one of the best two because they are in final. I will say they are very organised side, so we have to keep that things in mind.”
