A 10-member youth delegation from Dhaka International University (DIU) visited India last month to experience different cultures, says a press release.
The team, led by Raisul Islam Sourav, assistant professor, Department of Law, visited many historical places in Kolkata, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Aurangabad and Goa, including Victoria Memorial, Gate Way of India, Elephanta Island, Agoda Fort, Ajanta-Ellora caves and Bibi-Qa-Maqbara.
The aim of the tour was to acquaint students with the cultural diversity of South Asia. Taslima Minu, a law student who went on an international tour for the first time, said it was a life-time experience for her: “I learnt a lot from the India tour, which will help me in future to handle critical situations.”
Every year, DIU arranges international tours for its students to enable them to compare their expertise with global standard.
