Evergreen actor Afzal Hossain and audience-admired actress Tareen have paired up together once again through a telefilm titled ‘Hena’. Veteran director Syed Salahuddin Zaki, who has the credit to make notable films like ‘Ghuddi’, ‘Ayna Bibir Pala’ and ‘Lal Benarori’, is directing the telefilm.
DhakaLive has news that the shooting of the telefilm has begun on February 27 in Gazipur’s Bhabanipur on the outskirt of the capital. Though Afzal Hossain acted earlier under the direction of Salahuddin Zaki on different occasions, Tareen is working in any venture directed by him for the first time. In the telefilm, Tareen is playing the title role.
Salahuddin Zaki said about the telefilm, “After seven long years, I have returned to direction. At the time of writing the story for ‘Hena’, the face of Tareen was floating in my mind subconsciously. Tareen is a complete actress. Besides, so far I know she is also a very serious artiste. Considering everything, she has been featured here. On the other hand, Afzal Hossain is a part of my family and I did three works with him before. Every time, I received immense cooperation from him.”
Afzal Hossain said, “I am very fortunate that I had the opportunity of working in all the television productions of Syed Salahuddin Zaki. This is also a matter of pride for me. Whenever I work with him, I learn many things from him in different ways. Working with him is not only limited to acting under his direction, I also try to involve myself deeply with the work being a part with his emotion.”
“Besides, Tareen grew up in front my eyes from her childhood. This is also my achievement that I am acting with her and she is my heroine”, the actor added.
Tareen said about working in Salahuddin Zaki’s direction, “From my childhood, I heard many stories about Syed Salauddin Zaki from Humayun Faridi and Suborna Mustafa. I also heard that a lot of things can be learned from him. Recovering from illness, he returned to work after a long time and he is working with me—this this like my dream comes true. Besides, this is a wonderful matter that my co-artiste is my favourite Afzal Hossain. Overall, ‘Hena’ is a unique chapter of my life.” Syed Salahuddin Zaki informed that ‘Hena’ will be aired on a satellite TV channel soon. To note, Afzal Hossain and Tareen acted together last time in Nyem Imtiaz Neyamul’s  tele-drama ‘Galpo-ti Satti’ in 2015.
