The 100-day countdown in England has been started ahead of the eighth edition of the ICC Champions Trophy on Tuesday. Along with that, the Nissan Trophy Tour of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 was launched in the backyard of the International Cricket Council headquarters at the ICC Academy at the same day.
The trophy will start its journey on March 2 when it will depart for India. It will arrive in Bangladesh on March 18 for three days after travelling to Mumbai, Bengaluru and Delhi in India.
It will arrive in the United Kingdom on May 2 following the travel through Sri Lanka, Pakistan, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia.
The ICC Champions Trophy will visit 19 cities across all eight competing nations during its global tour, which will allow fans to get a close-up view of the prestigious silverware.
The prestigious cricket competition after the World Cup will roll onto the ground in England from June 1 to 18. The top eight-ranked team, splitting into two groups, will take part. Bangladesh will participate for the first time in the 50-over tournament. Bangladesh have been drawn in the Group-A with Australia, New Zealand and England. Group-B has been formed by India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and South Africa.
