Audience-admired actor Zahid Hasan, who is extensively known for playing versatile characters in the tele-dramas, telefilms and drama serials on different occasions, will be seen playing a unique role once again. This time around, he will appear as a shopkeeper named Bokea Majid in a new tele-drama with the same title.
DhakaLive has news that directed by Tareq Miyaji, the shooting of the tele-drama has already been completed recently. Momin Swapan has written the play from a story written by Sujit Biswas. Among others, Mousumi Hamid, Momo Sheuli and Sujan Habib have acted in the tele-drama.
In the story of the tele-drama, Zahid Hasan is a roadside shopkeeper in a village. Though there are no goods in his shop, he has only a dues book with read cover. As a result, he keeps sitting in idle all day long in the shop with the dues book. And when he suddenly gets any payee, he tries to collect the dues using different tricks. However, different types of incidents take place with this. Latika Banu (played by Mousumi Hamid), a young girl from the village, tries to love him, but Majid would not take any decision regarding love affair or marriage until fulfilling his dream of recovering all dues.
Director Tareq Miyaji said about the drama, “The play ‘Bokea Majid’ is based on an extraordinary story, which would touch the hearts of audience. Each sequence of the tele-drama written by journalist Momin Swapan is full of fun and humor.”
The hour-long tele-drama will be aired on a satellite TV channel soon.
