Adequate security measures will be taken in the capital and other parts of the country for smooth celebrations of the International Mother Language Day on February 21, said Public Security Division Secretary Dr Kamal Uddin Ahmed yesterday, reports UNB.
He came up with the information while talking to reporters after a meeting on law and order held at the Home Ministry with Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan in the chair.
Kamal said members of different law enforcement agencies will be deployed across the country to avert any untoward incident. The roads from Palashi intersection to Doyel Chattar on the DU campus will be brought under closed-circuit TV cameras to ensure security for the President, the Prime Minister, ministers and diplomats as they will pay tributes to the Language Movement martyrs at the Central Shaheed Minar, he said.
