The construction of flyover throughout the whole Dhaka city is one of the most significant contributions of this government. The objective is to eliminate traffic jam from the city. But the construction work of the Maghbazar – Mouchack flyover has turned irksome for those who commute regularly through this area.
In holydays it takes only 10-15 minutes from Shantinagar to Rampura Bridge or vice versa, but in the normal working days it takes more than an hour. Giant construction equipments block almost half of the road. Some time we saw some private cars use the focal point of the road as parking space. Traffic jam in and the project area will get worse during upcoming Eid as there are at least 5 shopping malls in close vicinity.
Quick completion of construction work is the only solution which must be considered by the authorities.
