WIM Shamima Akter Liza will participate in the World Women’s Chess Championship which begins today in Tehran. The 21-day event will end on March 3. WIM Liza got the chance to participate in the World Women’s Chess Championship as Asian Zone 3.2 women’s champion for the year 2015.
A total of 64 selected women’s players from all over the world are participating in the knockout system. The games will start from 11 February Saturday and WIM Liza will play against GM Dronavalli Harika of India. WIM Liza will play two games against GM Harika and she needs to beat GM Harika to qualify in the 2nd round.
