Comilla: A person was killed and 40 people were injured in a clash between two groups at Shildai village of Brahmanpara upazila on Thursday, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as M Mofizul Islam, 55, of the village.Locals said US expatriate Samsu Miah and Mofizul had long been at loggerheads.
As a sequel of the enmity, the both groups engaged in a clash when a chase and counter-chase took place that left around 41 people injured.
Around 50 houses were also vandalised during the melee.The injured were taken to the upazila health complex where doctors declared Mofizul dead.
