ULAB clinch Fair Play Cup trophy

Reigning champions University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) clinched the 10th Fair Play Cup 2017 beating Independent University Bangladesh (IUB) in the final by 30 runs yesterday at ULAB cricket ground at Mohammadpur.
ULAB batted first t score scored 190 runs for 4  in 20 overs. Md. Hasanuzzaman  of ULAB scored brilliant knock 76 runs from only 45 balls. Noman made 38 runs from only 31 balls. In reply, IUB made 160 for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Rafsan of IUB made the highest 49 runs from 44 balls. Imran of ULAB bagged 4 wickets and was named as the man of the match. Md Hasanuzzaman also received the man of the tournament and best batsman awards. Niloy and Anjum Ahmed of ULAB were awarded best fielder and best bowler of the Tournament.
Habibul Bashar, former captain of Bangladesh national cricket team was present in the closing ceremony as chief guest. Dr. Kazi Anis Ahmed, vice-president of the ULAB Board of Trustees delivered his opening speech and Prof Imran Rahman, Vice Chancellor, ULAB delivered his concluding speech. A total of 12 private universities took part in the tournament.
