Today is popular singer-actor Agun’s birthday. Though he has no special plan centring his birthday, he will celebrate the day with his wife and children in the evening today.
When asked how older you are, Agun proudly said, “Our Independence (Liberation War) and I are just the same age.” In connection to his reply, the readers should be informed that Agun was born on February 9 in 1971, just one month ago before Bangladesh declared its independence on March 26. As Agun was born during the days of the Liberation War, his father, Khan Ataur Rahman named his son Agun (Fire). Likewise, paying respect to his late father, Agun also named his two children as Moshal (Torch) and Michhil (Procession)—two very much familiar words to the nature of movements.  
Agun said, “My family is my world. But on this special occasion, I have always been flooded with love and wishes from my fans, audience and well-wishers. I seek prayers from everyone that we always stay well together.”
However, Agun is going to perform in a concert at Grand Sultan Hotel in Sreemangal, Sylhet on the Valentine’s Day. Besides, three of his music videos will be released on the occasion of the Valentine’s Day.
Moreover, Agun will be seen playing a completely different role in a new drama serial titled ‘Tin Pagoler Holo Mela’, scripted and directed by Abul Hayat.
