Today is the birthday of late noted theatre and TV actor Khaled Khan, popularly known as Juboraj.
Born on February 9 in 1958, Khaled Khan joined the theatre group Nagorik Natya Sampradaya in 1978. He acted in over 30 plays on behalf of the group and directed over 10 productions.
His notable acting performances in theatre production are ‘Dewan Gazir Kissa’, ‘Nurul Diner Sara Jibon’, ‘Galileo’, ‘Roktokorobi’ and ‘Dorpon’. He had also directed ‘Muktodhara’, ‘Putul Khela’, ‘Kalshondhay’, ‘Master Builder’, ‘Khudito Pashan’ and many more. He received numerous awards for his contributions in theatre, including the IT Theatre Award 2013.
The multifaceted artiste’s first appearance on the television screen was with the drama Shiri Ghor. Then, he acted in Imdadul Haque Milon’s ‘Rupnagar’ and Humayun Ahmed’s ‘Eishob Dinratri’.
Khan also acted in two films ‘Poka Makorer Ghor Bosoti’ and ‘Aha!’.
Khaled Khan had suffered from motor neuron disease for 12 years and breathed his last on December 20 in 2013.
