The results of the 36th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) written examination were published yesterday, reports UNB. A total of 5,990 examinees came out successful in the examination, Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) chairman Dr Muhammed Sadique told UNB. The viva voce of the examinees will begin from March 12 next, he said. Earlier, some 2,11,226 candidates took part in the 36th BCS preliminary examination which was held on January 8, 2016. Among those, 13,830 candidates came out successful. Of them, a total of 12, 468 examinees took part in the written examination which began on September 1 last. The PSC published a circular for the 36th BCS examination seeking applications against 2,180 posts. Later the numbers of the posts were increased to 2,485, added the PSC chairman.
