Ensuring quality education along with disseminating social values among the young generations has become indispensable for building an enlightened society through producing knowledgeable citizens, reports BSS.The opinion came at a views-sharing meeting on ‘Improving Quality of Education at Primary and Secondary Levels’ organised by Modati union parisahd at its premises under Kaliganj upazila in Lalmonirhat recently.The teachers of all 25 primary and eight secondary level schools and madrashas from allover Modati union participated in the meeting presided over by Chairman of Modati Union Parisahd Md Abdul Kader.
Chairman of Lalmonirhat Zila Parisahd Advocate Motiar Rahman attended and addressed the meeting as the chief guest.
Kaliganj Upazila Secondary Education Officer (In-charge) Afroza Begum and Upazila Primary Education Officer Swapan Kumar Das delivered presentations as the resource persons.
Superintendent of Shakhati Jabbaria Dakhil Madrasha Motaleb Hossain, Headmasters Azizul Islam of Gaglarpar High School, Pabitra Kumar Roy of Shakhati High School Pabitra Kumar Roy, Headmistress of Koitari Government Primary School Hosne Ara Begum, took part in the open discussion.
The resource persons put emphasis on skill development of the teachers and proper management in the educational institutions for conducting academic activities amid congenial atmosphere to make the students easily understand lessons.They also explained about the meaning and inputs of quality education, prevailing problems and way-outs to ensure quality education, learning and teaching methodologies, national education policy, responsibilities of the teachers.The chief guest put importance on acquiring scientific methodologies by the teachers to build up genuine teaching capacities and skills in flourishing latent talent of the children through making classes interesting amid congenial atmosphere.He called for sincere efforts of the teachers and authorities of the primary and secondary level educational institutions to provide time-befitting knowledge to the students to turn them into enlightened citizens to lead the nation in future.
