5-day Iranian film show begins at Nat’l Museum today

On the occasion of the 38th anniversary of the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran (National Day) Iran Cultural Centre of Dhaka has arranged a discussion meeting on ‘Cultural Values of the Islamic Revolution in Iran’ and inauguration of a 5-day long Iranian Film Show jointly organized by Iran Cultural Centre, Dhaka and Bangladesh National Museum at the main auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum (BNM) today at 3.30 pm.
Civil Aviation & Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon will attend the programme as chief guest, while Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Bangladesh Dr Abbas Vaezi Dehnavi, eminent film maker Morshedul Islam and Bangladesh Tourism Board CEO Akhtaruz Zaman Kabir will be present as special guests.
Presided over by Bangladesh National Museum Director General Faizul Latif Chowdhury, Dr Md Iqbal Hossain, Professor, Depertment of Dawah & Islamic Studies, Islamic University, Kushtia will present the keynote paper.
The opening program will be followed by screening of the Bangla dubbed Iranian film ‘Golhaye Dawoodi’ (Je Ful Foteni). The film will be screened today at 6pm.
From the next day, tomorrow, the Film Show will screen Iranian films everyday from 11am to 1pm and 3pm to 5pm, until February 8 at the main auditorium of BNM.
