Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) defeated Green University by three wickets to reach the semifinal of 10th ULAB Fair Play Cup Inter Private University Cricket Tournament at ULAB playground at Mohammadpur yesterday.
An inserted Green scored 102 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs and in return IUB scored 103 for 7 wickets in 19 overs.  Tanvir, who scored 19 runs and took one wicket became man of the match.
State University (SU) trounced  Asia Pacific by 70 runs in the other match at the same venue. State University hammered a respectable 154 for 6 wickets in 20 overs. In return, Asia Pacific were shot out for 84 runs in 19.4 overs. Shakil of State University scored 43 runs off 37 balls to lift the man of the match.Reigning champions ULAB and Stamford University booked the first two last four berths.
