Law enforcers in separate drives arrested and alleged arms trader and recovered a foreign made pistol, two magazines, five bullets and 2,972 bottles of phensidyl from Sadar and Shibganj upazila of the district yesterday.The arrested person was M Jamal Sheikh, 50, a resident of Alinagar  village in Chapainawabganj municipality area.
On a tip-off, members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) conducted a raid in New Market area of the district town this noon and arrested Jamal with the firearm and bullets, RAB official said.
Besides, a BGB team of Sonamasjid camp seized 2,972 bottles of phensidyl  from Baliadighi frontier area in Shibganj upazila of district yesterday afternoon.
