Muktijuddho E-Archive, an electronic archive on Bangladesh Liberation War 1971, has opened on its website around 5,000 photographs, taken by local and foreign photographers, on different incidents including the genocide by Pakistani occupational force, reports BSS. The photographs also contain caption and names of photographers, a press release said. Photographs of Bangladeshi photographers Rashid Talukdar, Mohammad Shafi, Naib Uddin Ahmed, Aftab Ahmed, Abdul Hamid Raihan, Golam Mawla, Jalaluddin Haider, Anwar Hossain, Manjur Alam Beg, Shafiqul Islam Swapan, Abul Lais Shyamal and Shakhawat Hossain are among the 5,000 photos.
Indian photographers Raghu Roy, Kishore Parekh, Amio Tarafdar, Bal Krishna, Rabin Sengupta, Santosh Basak and Manabendra Mondal, German photographers Thomas Billhardt and Horst Faas, US photographers David Hume Kennerly, David Burnett, Mary Ellen Mark and Dick Durance, British photographers William Lovelace, Don Mackain, John Downing, Mark Edwards and Marilyn Silverstone, Swedish Photographer Bo Carlsson, French photographers Mitchell Laurent, Marc Riboud, Christian Simonpietri, Raymond Depardon and Bruno Barbey’s photographs on the Liberation War are also in the list.
