Young singer Shuvo Jyoti Kundu released his first solo Nazrul Sangeet album titled ‘Biroho Gantha’. The launching ceremony of the album was held on Monday on the premises of Channel i in the capital. Former secretary Nazrul Islam Khan was present as chief guest at the launching ceremony, while Channel i director Jahir Uddin Mahmud Mamun, former director of Nazrul Institute Ikram Ahmed and country director of IUCN Bangladesh Istiaq Uddin Ahmed and forest conservator Rezaul Sikder, among others, were present at the event.
The album consists of 10 Nazrul songs, such as ‘Mor Prothom Moner Mukul’, ‘Bodhu Tomar Amar Ei Je Biroho’, ‘Fire Fire Keno Tari Smrity’, ‘Jare Haate Diye Mala’, ‘Jani Jani Priyo E Jibone’, ‘Noyon Bhora Jol Go Tomar’, ‘Mora Ar Jonome’, ‘Bhule Jeyo’, ‘He Priyo Amare Dibona Bhulite’ and ‘He Priyo Tomar Amar Majhe’. Kundu expressed his feelings, “Despite of earning a higher degree in Electrical Engineering from Korea, I couldn’t drag myself away from the childhood memories. That’s why I have involved myself with Nazrul Sangeet again and want to remain busy with Nazrul Sangeet.”
