‘Bangladesh to be middle income country soon’

Deputy Speaker of the Bangladesh Parliament Advocate Fazle Rabbi Miah in a function in Gaibandha yesterday said Bangladesh was being turned into a middle income country through materializing the dream of digital Bangladesh, reports BSS.
“World Bank has already recognized Bangladesh as lower middle income country and it is the main task to turn the country into a middle income one by 2021 of the Awami League led grand alliance government”, he said.
Deputy Speaker and local lawmaker Advocate Fazle Rabbi Miah made the comments while addressing a discussion meeting organized by Bonarpara Rail Sramik League (BRSL) of Shaghata upazila on Saturday afternoon as the chief guest.
With president of BRSL Jahurul Islam in the chair, the meeting was also addressed, among others, byorganizing secretary of central Rail Sramik League Haider Ali,
general secretary (GS) of BRSL Raihan Kabir, acting president of upazila AL Nazmul Huda Dudu and GS Abdul Hamid Sarker Babu.
Deputy speaker also urged the people from all walks of life to work seriously and sincerely from their respective position and help the government cordially attain the cherished goal.
A large number of workers of Bangladesh Railway, political leaders and common people participated in the meeting.
