Two people including a student were killed in separate road accidents in Mymensingh yesterday. A fish trader was killed and three others injured in a road accident at Hazir Bazar on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh yesterday morning. The deceased was identified as Mohamamd Rana, 30, of Razapur village in Dumuria upazila of Khulna district, police sources said. Rana died on the spot and three others were injured when a truck collided a fish-laden pick-up van bound for Mymensingh from Khulna around 6am, police said. Of the injured, two were rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital while another was admitted to Bhaluka Upazila Health Complex. Meanwhile, an honours student was killed at Natun Bazar in Muktagachha upazila headquarters of Mymensingh on Saturday afternoon. The deceased was Asaduzzaman Asad, 22, of Binodpur area in Muktagachha. Quoting family sources, Akhter Morshed, officer-in-charge of Muktagacha police station said Asad, a second year honours student at Govt Ananda Mohan College here was returning home after appearing his honours examination boarding in a CNG-run auto-rickshaw around 3pm. When a truck collided an auto-rickshaw in Natun Bazar area, Asad sustained serious injuries. He was first rushed to Muktagacha Upazila Health Complex but was shifted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. Later, he succumbed to his injuries in the afternoon, police sources said.
